Etymology: The first recorded use of the word is sometime between 1900 and 1905, but it has actually been around since the 1800s. The origins of this word are uncertain. It is a term mostly used in the Southern United States. Many thought Clinton came up with the word, but the transcript recorded by the White House actually spelled it as bum-fusseled.
